Ted and Robin Bike Across Wisconsin - SAGBRAW

Page 1

We Did It!!!

We joined 750 other bicyclists and biked a total of 341 miles across the state of Wisconsin. SAGBRAW is an organized trip for fun.  This year the bike trip started in Cassville Wisconson (on the Mississippi river) to Port Washington (by the shore of Lake Michigan). This is the longest trip we have ever made. If we can do it you could too! Here are 6 pages of photos from the trip. If you are thinking of a week long trip this is a great one to join!

We actually drove to Port Washington first to take the bus to Cassville. Robin is not really sure what she has volunteered to do. Click on the photo to enlarge and check out our "Team Re-Kline" bags. We are ready to go!

After arriving in Cassville we set up camp in Riverside Park next to the Mississippi (right next to the Beer Garden). Ted's Sister Joan and her boys Brendan and Devin (and Brendan's GF Sarah) are at the picnic table. Brendan and Sarah rode the BikeE tandem the first two days of the trip, but had to leave us to return to their jobs. You will see more of Joan and Devin...

And yes it did rain that nignt as you can see how dark it was.

The Semi's pulled up with the bikes and Wheel & Sprocket set up Bike Repairs. Bikers were excited on the eve of our start. Wheel & Sprocket were busy that first night taking care of making final adjustments on the bikes.

Bikes were pulled off the trailers and laid on the grass (most of these bikes do not have kick stands) . This is where we found our bikes. (Can you find Devin in this picture?)

Notice the two levels inside the trailer. Each bike was packed in a blanket and carefully unloaded. There were 5 semi's to transport all of the bikes from Port Washington to Cassville. One of these moving vans was used to carry all of the biker's gear from one city to the next.
