| Last day. 61 miles. We continued riding down the shores of Lake Michigan.
Riding to and through the town of Sheyboygan proved to be an interesting experience for us. Initially we were warned that there might not be any route signs for us in the town. Two years ago the town Sheriff decided that the signs did not meet city code and took them all down. As we approached town, we noticed more and more signs in yards welcoming the PGA. Some farms had signs advertising for RV parking. We eventually came to several miles of fields that had been turned into parking lots, complete with lights, porta potties and dumpsters. The PGA Championship was to start the next day!
Just before we were entering town, we had a little downhill where Ted took advantage of his fairing to get up speed to climb a small hill. Just as he was about halfway up the hill, a huge wild turkey runs out in front of him! Both of us had to break and swerve to keep from hitting the bird. Wow.. that was a first for both of us.
When we got into town, we were relieved to find that the directional arrows were still posted for us to follow. We followed them right into a parade route! Eventually we were stopped at the start of the parade and had to detour off route and around the parade. We were curious as to why the organizers would have routed us on the same route as the parade or why the community would not have warned SAGBRAW of the parade. We later learned that the 1999 SAGBRAW route had the same complication.
We opted to ride a paved bike trial into Port Washington so that we would not have to ride into town on the choppy concrete roads (we had done this before). It was a pretty and calm route to follow into town to finish our 6 day trip.

| At another Citgo rest break, we met up with a begging dog. We are quite sure this is the same dog that was here 2 years ago. It was very patient. Just sitting waiting for someone to give it something to eat.
This station had a bike rack, but obviously not for the number of bikes that were showing up on this day.
We made IT!! Our final surprise was discovering Ted’s sister, Darlene had come to meet us at the end. She took this final picture of us as we completed our 5th SAGBRAW.
